Learn to Kitesurf
Kitesurfing is the world’s fastest growing Watersports, and England is leading with many thousands taking up this exciting sport every year. The sport is accessible to all and opens up so many opportunities, but proper tuition is essential to learning this sport both safely and enjoyably.
Surface2Air Sports has been giving top quality, professional Kite Surfing Courses and Power Kite Lessons since 1999 making us one of the oldest and best established Kitesurfing and powerkite centres in the world. With over 13 years’ experience our centre and its BKSA/IKO accredited instructors are recognised throughout the world for the quality of teaching .

We teach on a range of beaches which means we can teach in just about every wind direction – all we need is wind. Teaching months run from March to November and we run anything from individual, tailored lessons to full two day courses.

This is your opportunity for an introduction to the fastest growing sport of the 21st century! Kitesurfing is an awesome sport, both to learn and then to practice. This course is aimed at those who have never touched a kite before and will grant you all the knowledge you need to become a safe kitesurfer. We only operate in small groups – a maximum of four people per instructor.
Individual Days

This is your opportunity for an introduction to the fastest growing sport of the 21st century! Kitesurfing is an awesome sport, both to learn and then to practice. We only operate in small groups – a maximum of four people per instructor. Your one day course will provide all the fundamentals of kite flying:
- Basic set up, and pack down of kites.
- Wind window theory, natural obstacle awareness.
- Knowledge of all safety systems.
- Launching and landing.
- Basic flying techniques.
- Introduction to LEI kites.
- Rights of way.
At the end of a one day course you will know all about kitesurfing and how to do the basics safely. No doubt you will be ready to move on and eagerly book your boardstart 2 day course!

The BKSA/IKO two day course builds on the knowledge learnt on the one day taster, which should be completed first. It moves on to getting you onto the board and moving. By the end of this course you will know all about:
- Waterstart theory
- Load and launch
- Coming up and riding
- Rules of the road
- Edging and riding upwind
Private Tuition

Private tuition is the best way to learn or improve. Our experienced instructors will work exclusively with you on whatever skills you wish to learn. Quite simply the fastest and most effective way to learn!
What next?
From here you will be at a stage where you will have learnt all the basic nuts and bolts of Kitesurfing. It will then allow you to get out there and practise more – either by purchasing your own equipment, supervised hire of kit, or by having further lessons.
