Construction: Hybritaper - K2s team of engineers is involved in every part of production. From developing lighter, stronger construction technologies to 'field testing' - this crew is focused on two things only: making the industry's best product and HAVING FUN! Hybritaper takes K2s Hybritech Construction and tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight. The tips are then blended from a cap into a thin sandwich removing material where you don’t need it.
Shape: Twin Tip / Hyper Progressive - Different sidecuts, stances and shapes give K2s boards many unique handling characteristics. Whether you’re hitting kickers in the park, railing on the hardpack, buttering in the flatlands or learning your first few turns, K2 have a sidecut profile that will perform for you. K2 technology allows us to develop the best geometric combinations to make your days on the hill more fun and less strenuous, keeping you where you wanna be - in control and having fun! This sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all-around riding board on the market. Responsive enough for high-speed power carves but smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to park. An infinite number of different 'radii' are blended together flawlessly from mellow in the tips, to more aggressive in the center. Any and every turn all in one.
Core: W2 Core - K2 believe that wood provides the best all around performance out of any material out there. All of their woods are renewable resources and their high-end cores come with performance enhancing materials. Three species of renewable wood are assembled to optimize strength, reduce weight, and enhance damping without the addition of other materials.
Glass: Biax/Biax - The story with GLASS TECHNOLOGY at K2 is simple. They do whatever they can to create the lightest, strongest and most responsive boards in the industry through the use of ICG (Integrated Carbon Glass), Biax (two weave) and Triax (three weave). Biaxial - Best performing all-purpose glass for that all around performance ride.
Torsion Forks: Carbon Matrix 1 - Carbon has been extended to the very edge of the board for maximum power and pop combined with a fine-tuned edge hold and torsional stability.
