The inner hydrophilic layer prevents condensation and allows moisture to travel to the outer layer, keeping you warm and dry. Strata HD II has a waterproof/breathable rating of 20K/15K, 15K/10K, 10K/8K, 5k/5k and is offered as a laminate or coating depending on fabric.

Georgetown Jacket Review 2012

So you’re looking for a jacket that will protect you against the elements, will last the wear and tear and gets you noticed?! Then Ride have the perfect jacket for you, it is known as the Georgetown! It is a lightweight jacket allowing you a free feel of movement and doesn’t restrict your ability to go for those big spins. It is also very breathable so you can ride all day and not get steamed up but will protect you against those harsh winds and snowfall keeping you nice and warm and protected. It also has an excellent waterproof shell with fully taped seams keeping the wet away.
As it is not a bulky jacket is also allows you to be able to layer up underneath if it is a frosty day. It offers your two standard pockets on the side of the jacket and one by the chest for your tunes (with a hole for your headphones) or your midday snack and has an extra pocket on the arm with a metal zip for quick and easy access.
Design wise I think it is one of the sexiest jackets out for 2012 and will definitely get you noticed on the hill.
