Slingshot RPM Kitesurf Kite 2009 Complete

Introducing the RPM the latest Kite in the Slingshot Range
No set rules, definition or condition. Progression and evolution!!

Slingshot's goal when producing the RPM kite was to develop a hybrid style kite that has C kite characteristics along with options for performance tuning.
The Slingshot RPM has the performance depower benefits of a bridled kite, mixed together with the unhooked & turning characteristics of a C kite. The RPM kite customization is beyond anything else seen in the kite market and is extremely simple.
The Kitesurf industry has not yet seen a kite developed that has achieve maximum performance for all style of riding. The Slingshot RPM kite is meant to suit all styles of riding including surf, freeride, & freestyle. The Slingshot RPM has a good relaunch system, the depower setting works great for hooked in surf style, and the freestyle setting is dialed in for just that. Excelling in the freestyle category for the intermediate/advanced rider. The pop and drop unhooked characteristics along with the tunable C kite feeling at the bar make this happen.
The RPM really has the best of both worlds when it comes to kite control. C-kites power control comes from board edge. Bridled kites power control comes from bar stroke. The RPM has both. You can control the power by your bar stroke, or you can ride it like a C kite with little bar stroke and stomp the power out with your board. This is what makes the RPM a great freestyle kite.
The Saftry system on the Slingshot RPM is second to none; The Center Safety System. This RPM saftey system is a very simple, uncluttered, convenient, proven system. It has a below the bar connection point that kills the kite upon firing. Another big advantage of this system is that it is easily re-rideable. You can fire it with the confidence that you can put it back together and continue your session.
The RPM has 2 different settings for the front bridle and 4 different options for the rear line. The front positions control the depower of the kite. The freestyle setting has a longer depower stroke, and the depower setting has a shorter depower stroke. The rear line options control the amount of bar pressure felt at the bar. Attached further back, the RPM feels like a Rev. Further forward the RPM feels more like a Fuel. With all of these settings you can really dial in whatever feeling and performance you are looking for. And the great thing is, the adjustments could not be easier.

Features:

  • Progressive ‘Delta’ shaped canopy: This provides great low end and makes the kite super stable in higher winds. The Delta canopy ensures easy re-launch [even for the novice rider], inflight stability, massive vertical boost, unsurpassed wind range & depower and superb up-wind ability

Slingshot RPM 14, Good strong pull in low wind, quick in the turns for a large kite with amazing lift when you jump,,,all i can say is if you are going to jump leave plenty of water between you and the beach as you will be very suprised by the amount of height and float this kite gives!
