The council have discussed the signs at their last meeting on monday night and are fine with where we want to put them, but the said I had to clear it with the environment agency who maintain that scaffolding. I rang them and they said no problem.

So its all go ahead.....

You can see a draft of the sign and a pic of where its going to go at http://www.pixagogo.com/5981924108

Does anyone have any other input on what it should say, or anything really about it? I've put the most important points in I think and I dont want to get much more text on there because it'll just put people off reading it.

As soon as these are up (within a week or so hopefully) we should all be using the zone when kiting at Dymchurch.

Barney,

I should be able to get something from work for the signs, i need to go down and get a look at where there going and one of the signs (have you got them) to see the best way to fix them and so they cant be stolen.

When would be a good time to pop down are you about Question

Be good to pop by, next time if heading down that way for a surf.

Cheers mate, appreciated...

if you click that link I've put in below I've added a couple more photos onto it of the railings with the existing environment agency sign.

We haven't made the signs yet - The graphic is basically ready to go – I was thinking that we need a metal plate like the one they’ve used with that kind of rail attachment across the back of it (see the pic – it must be a standard sign component I guess), and then we’ll get the graphic printed to a vinyl sticker and slap it on the front.

Will probably get a sheet of Perspex and bolt it over the top too so that when the local pikeys inevitably graffiti it we can just replace the Perspex and not the whole sign.

I think we’ll prob have two signs – one on each of the end bits of rail – facing in opposite directions.
