The first key ingredient is our flyweight core where the unique molding process creates an extremely light core, less than half the weight of a traditional surf core, but with a dense outer skin created through a specific molded core for each board size.

The second key ingredient is our tough Corecell sandwich layer on the top and bottom skin. This unique material keeps the top and bottom deck from buckling while preserving the flex characteristics. We also don’t sandwich the rail, which enhances the flex further.

The final outer skin comprises of a Biaxial Carbon fiber bottom deck and a unique Biaxial Carbon Innegra top deck. This fanatical use of biaxial fibers results in an extremely high-performance skin that enables the board to flex significantly while still being extremely durable and responsive.

The Reflex Carbon shapes do not have footstrap inserts. If you use the new AK stick on straps, insert positions are indicated on the board.

Shape

1: Curve in the hip and tail area for maximum snap off the top.
2: Low tail rocker for speed.
3: Wide center for early planing.
4: Wide point relatively far forward for control at speed.
5: Reduced length to assist maneuverability.
6: Full nose with a large amount of curve for planing and maneuverability.
7: Flat nose rocker for early planing.
8: Tail - 1.5mm Single concave, blending to 1mm Panel V.
9: Mid - 1.8mm Inverted Spiral V.
10: Nose - 1.4mm Spiral V.
11: High apex rail.

Ecoboard Project

Our ongoing quest is to develop the highest performing Directional Surf and Foil Kiteboards on the market, while reducing our environmental impact.
Take a look at the new 2019 Ocean Rodeo Mako Duke Kitesurfing Board at S2AS!

Now with a quad fin option!

First launched in 2015 the Mako Duke completely redesigned kitesurfing conventions, by developing a fresh take on the directional kiteboard OIcean Rodeo further established themselves at the forefront of the kiting industry!

Utilising the Mako's deep concave on the Duke ensures that this board as the smooth ride through the chop that riders have come to love from Ocean Rodeo boards as well as reducing nose chatter often associated with other directional boards. This unique shaping also helps the Duke rip upwind and leads to a much more stable board with a massive sweet spot, good for transitional footwork and makes it much more stable for anding tricks.

The Duke can be setup with 3 distinct fin setups, each give the board a unique character. In tri fin mode the Duke becomes a flat water chop strapless freestyle machine making sliding moves and reverse landings easy. For more bite, move the side fins up one for a true thruster setup, snappy pivot turns on the wave face. Lastly, when the conditions are really good be sure to put the Duke into its quad fin mode for pure delight designed for the dedicated wave rider, fast down the line allowing deep hard driving carves. The quad fins also get you back upwind faster, letting you ride the board flat and fast while you search for the next bomb.

Up top, the full EVA deck has been thinned out to eek a few more grams out of the weight, while the texture and hole pattern have been refined improved grip.

The Duke: The world’s first, fully rethought, kiteboarding specific directional.

Features:

Freestyle Ready

Ultimate Light-Wind Directional

Excellent in Chop

Good Wave Riding Capabilities

Impressive Carving

Easy to Use!

Length: 165 cm by 47 cm (5’4” by 18”)
Volume: 25.3 Litres

2019 Shinn Shinnster Encore Kiteboard Available Now At S2AS

An instant hit when launched in 2014 the Shinnster never fails to put a smile on your face regardless of the conditions. For 2019 we took a step back to see what we could tweak and improve to make this the favourite 2nd board for every rider. What is the Shinnster? It’s not a wave board and it’s not a skimboard... The Shinnster is a kiteboard designed for strapless riding. Flat water skate style, small onshore wave playing, no fins, 80mm fins… There are no rules, grab it and do whatever comes to mind. Maintaining the rocker and flex pattern from the original this overhaul makes the Shinnster more compact and “trickable” without influencing the critical rail length needed to achieve the powerful upwind and drive it’s famous for. Our all new Jet Stream tail channels increase the tail grip whilst using smaller fins to provide a better balance of sliding skate style moves and a more aerial style. Supplied with 53mm fins, add the new 3D shaped deck pad and 80mm fins to tune your ride how you like it. The all new Shinnster is not only fun to ride but surprisingly easy to get the best out of too. Don’t confuse this board with other similar looking concepts out there, this is a high performance ride that works in a huge array of conditions.

TECH FEATURES

Jump proof technology
Jump it all you like, a strapless freestyle board that’s fit for purpose

Jet stream tail channels
More grip in the tail that doesn’t interfere with skate style tricks

Wax or Pad
Factory applied 3D deck pad available as optional extra

Full wood core
The best strength to weight ratio available with long lasting durability

BITE Hi-Visibility 53 mm fins
Optoflex moulded composite fins for superior profile accuracy and lighter weight. 80mm fins available as optional extra

Adaptive Rocker
High flex rocker design gives outstanding performance in all water conditions

2 year warranty
Peace of mind with our 2 year manufacturing defect warranty (conditions apply)

Size:
150 x 45

2019 Airush Mini Monster Convert V2 Custom Epoxy Kite Surfboard Now Available At S2AS

Compact high-volume surf shape for onshore surf or flat water.

Parallel tail outline for stability and upwind performance.

Convertible option with low drag foil insert and footstrap inserts.

TRACTION PAD AND FINS INCLUDED

Combining aspects of Airush´s classic freeride directionals with aspects of a surf-style fish, the Mini Monster is the perfect board for smaller waves or flat-water blasting. The Mini Monster Convert features the unique Airush low drag foil insert.

The fuller nose combined with the parallel tail section maintain stability at speed and create acceleration on or off the wave. The channel tail maintains the fast rocker on the rail while increasing the relative rocker in the tail.

The volume is well distributed between the tail and center towards the nose section of the board while maintaining a performance rail, resulting in extremely early planing and sub-planing performance, with incredible turning and carving abilities.

The Mini Monster Convert can be kitted with surf-style or carving fin sets, depending on local conditions and individual requirements. The Convert option can be fitted with a standard foil plate system (90 x 165mm plate).
Take a look at the new 2018 Core Ripper 3 Kite Surfboard at S2AS!

To all the wave warriors out there, we agree, there is no bigger rush than riding waves of all shapes and sizes. Strapped. Or strapless. Like the ones a Nor'easterly brings to the East Coast. Or a good low brings to the Great Lakes. For you, we built the ultra comfortable, Ripper 3. An allrounder that feels right at home on big, messy, wind driven lake swell or the super smooth reefs of Mauritius and Maui. The Ripper 3. A handcrafted, glass shortboard for all your road trips, wherever they may take you.

So, what is the payoff for going with glass over EPS? You get a classic, smooth riding surfboard with impeccable carving characteristics that performs just as well without a kite. Can’t find any waves? No problem, try the new Ripper 3 with a CORE LW kite and discover how much fun lightwind riding is. Go back to the future with the carbon fiber and glass Ripper 3 and find your inner wave ninja.

Features:

Active Foam Core: Closed cell PU or polyurethane foam blanks are the only choice for custom board builders. PU is water resistant and can be precisely shaped with CNC milling machines and sanders. Our blanks have superior flex memory and dimensional accuracy with our multi-step CNC milling and sanding process. And together with its twin wood stringers, the Active Foam Core creates a better foil and rail shape for butter-smooth turns.

Classic Glass Coat: Multi-layered, specialized fiberglass, and hi-tech resin form the top coat. Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, and Carissa Moore still compete on glass boards. They prefer the softer riding, more flexible, glass boards over stiff and lifeless EPS. Trust glass for precisely tuned rails, original surf feel, and of course, good looks.

Shortboard Outline: The board’s pronounced rocker, 26+/- liter volume, and classic shortboard shape works equally well in chaotic wind-driven waves or butter smooth reef waves. The new Ripper 3 gets a boost in speed and control with its somewhat narrower and more parallel cut.

Round Tail: The Ripper 3 moves from a square tail to a round tail. With a little more volume to slash knee highs and superb control on monsters, it's the best choice for allrounders. The new board also features more tail kick than its predecessor. Spoil yourself with never-ending, super-tight gybes on the new Ripper 3.

Tucked Under Rails: The hand shaped rails feature a new thinner, sharper, “tucked under” rail design that releases water better yet maintains the classic smooth and forgiving ride you’d expect from a glass board. The central 60/40 tucked under rail transitions seamlessly into a hard tail rail to provide greater maneuverability.

Strap Ready: The deck is fitted with multiple stainless steel V4A inserts to receive optional Core straps in your favorite stance position.

Double Stringer: A laminated wood stringer is inlaid along the full length of the board to longitudinally manage flex and give the Ripper 3 its signature feel. A second visible wood stringer is inlaid horizontally also along the length of the board to accept strap inserts. The stringer is then laminated to the fiberglass producing a very durable deck

Blunt Nose: The Ripper 3 loses a bit more of its nose. We file it off because, in the long run, our trademark blunt nose is safer, more durable, and just plain cool. The Ripper 3 fits in board bags better, travels better and, hopefully, won’t leave a mark.

Thruster Fin Setup: The Ripper 3 continues with the classic three fin thruster setup for a looser feel. Thrusters are well known to turn tighter than quads and release easier for cleaner moves off the lip.

Orginal FCS II Fin Setup: Core carries over the Original FCS II fin box system on the Ripper 3. FCS II is the keyless fin system that enables 2-second fin changes without tools. It’s wise to stick with the global standard in fin boxes for the day you lose a fin on your favorite reef. Because it’s backward compatible (in that it still retains grub screws to secure any old FCS fin you or your friends may have), you will be back on the water in no time. Now that’s progress.

Take a look at the new 2018 Core Green Room Kite Surfboard at S2AS!

The beauty and allure of big wave riding is undeniable. Some of us will drop everything and drive hours in the hope of catching a really big day. And if you don’t live in Mauritius, Oahu, or Nazare, these days don’t come often enough. But when they do, you’d like to be prepared because you’ve experienced the washing machine and it's not fun.

Core built the brand new Green Room for you, a big wave hunter. We know this may sound like an F-16 ad, but they can’t help it. This stick is fast. Like F-16 fast. Staying ahead of the wave is no big deal for the Green Room. It changes direction like it’s fitted with the latest “fly by wire” systems. And it feels so in control on every bottom turn due in part to the Pipeline, Supertubos, and Mavericks DNA Core added. Hype [off].

What is the Green Room’s secret sauce? Glad you asked. Polyurethane foam and glass construction allow us to precisely fine tune the rails, foil, and rocker for exceptional speed and agility on steep wave faces. The board differs from Core's allrounder Ripper 3 in that it is noticeably narrower in width and lower in volume (-15%). It also features a rounded pin tail design that has less lift. These modifications contribute to its ability to grab hold of the wave for crazy control. A word of caution, though, this stick is not for everyone. It takes serious skill to ride this little gem. And so they named it for its ability to take exceptional riders to the holy grail of surfing - the Green Room.

Features:

Active Foam Core: Closed cell PU or polyurethane foam blanks are custom board builder’s only choice. The Green Room’s round pin tail rides deeper and has a longer, straighter rail that improves control at speed. Pronounced tail kick promotes carving control and reduces pearling.

Big Wave Outline: With less volume and width, the Green Room is a handful to ride but the payoff is worth the effort. It tames big waves with confidence inspiring high speed (toeside) bottom turns, excellent acceleration, and grip on the wavefront.

3D Hull: The board features a light, single concave hull that transitions into a Vee towards the tail. It’s the perfect prescription for tight, controlled bottom turns on big, scary waves. And, of course, hugging the sidewall when entering the green room!

Tucked Under Rails: The hand shaped rails feature a sharp, “tucked under” rail design that releases water better yet maintains the classic smooth and forgiving ride you’d expect from a glass board.
