The Pop was Tona's debut Kiteboard and it has always been known for being fast, grippy & explosive!
Developed by Tona with real riders in mind, and is Jake Kelsick’s favourite from our twintip kiteboard. Originally developed to deal with the big demand for a kitesurf board that had great pop off the water, could cruise upwind and also had good traction when riding finless.
After several rounds of testing prototypes with different channel designs Tona came up with something that was very unique and innovative, and people have been stoked with it ever since. Stiffer than the average kiteboard, to help hold its static rocker line while riding and also to generate the maximum amount of energy when loading up to pop off the water.
True to the original design, the POP 2.0 has the same great shape and tough construction but with a tweaked the glass layup to improve the flex pattern and a fresh new graphic.
Wood Core: A high grade poplar wood core, that offers strengh and a stiffness whilst still allowing the board to flex where needed
Double Concave: One of the most unique shapes in kitesurfing, an agressive concave design in the middle to help disperse water to create softer landings, but by flattening off to the tip and tail of the board means reduced drag and maximes release when poping. Further complimented by two deep channels for endless grip.
UHMW Slider Base: This Sintered Base is widely known as the toughest slider material in the snowboard and wakeboard industry due to its compression formed polymer structure
Customisable Slider Rails: ABS composite side walls developed to take a beating, and are thicjk enough to allow the rider custumise to they style, simply use a sanding block to either round off the centre for smoother transitions or sharpen towards the tips for added grip
